UNDP (DRIVER/CLERK; FOR 6 POSITIONS)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide reliable and secure driving services to the Core Project Unit and CONIG personnel, as required.
-Ensure cost-savings through, amongst others, proper use and accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs.
-Ensure
proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through minor
repairs, timely change of oil, check of tyres, brakes, car washing etc.
-Report any mechanical fault in good time for repairs to be carried out and cross check to see that the repairs were well done.
-At all time, make sure that copies of vehicle
insurance including office directory, map of the city/country, first aid
kit and necessary spare parts are available.
-Ensure that all immediate measures required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents
-Learn and comply with all security requirements, when driving and using the vehicle
-Support
the project team by providing administrative and clerical support as
requested, including in preparing, copying, collating, binding, filing
and distributing documents, mail and notifications, as instructed
-Provide logistical and administrative support during events and meetings, as required
-Support
hospitality and orientation support of personnel and other individual,
especially of new staff and visitors and guests of the Project Support
Unit and the Country Office, as required
-Ensure security and safety at all times especially while driving and respond to radio checks/calls at all times.

Experience:

experience working as a driver/clerk in an international, national or
NGO office is required.
-Work experience with the UN or other international institutions with stringent accountability rules would be an asset.
Languages:

UNDP JOB (OPERATION MANAGER)
Duties and Responsibilities
The Operations Manager will have
overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Minister’s
office, and will co-ordinate and manage the activities and members of
its Transformation Team.
The specific roles and responsibilities will include:
-Provide
strategic leadership and direction to the Minister’s office in order to
ensure the efficient and timely implementation of the agricultural
transformation’s work plan and overall objectives.
-Ensure clear communications within and between staff of the ATA secretariat and regional offices of the FMARD.
-Provide direct supervisory, coaching and mentoring
support to the operations team in the Minister’s office and ensure
timely and professional feedback,
-Manage the schedule and flow of
work and operations in the office of the Minister to ensure
responsiveness, efficiency and delivery for the transformation agenda.
-Assist in the selection of key staff in the Minister’s office and supervise them for efficiency and delivery of assignments.
-Develop
and implement office management systems for ensuring efficient
operations of the entire agricultural transformation teams.
-Cultivate
an effective work ethics towards building a cohesive operations team

contracted under the terms of the project, supervise procurement process

administrative officers to ensure timely delivery of support services
to the agricultural transformation team members and ensure that ATA is

UNDP VACANCY (ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT)
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will carry out the following tasks:
-Provides administrative and clerical support to the process of
preparation and drafting of project ideas, work plans, budgets,
revisions, progress reports and summaries.
-Maintains all proper filing system. Select information and records in
specified format or on the basis of general instructions for use by
others in preparing reports, correspondence, technical papers, project
or programme plans and general reference documents.

The Office of the Senior Technical Adviser, Agricultural Policy will have the following terms of reference:
-Spearhead in-depth and critical review of the state of food and
agricultural policy in Nigeria and advise the Honourable Minister on
priority evidence-based food and agricultural policies, and
institutional, legal and regulatory reforms needed to drive the
agricultural transformation agenda and rural development.
-Coordinate the Food and Agricultural Policy
Transformation Group - made up of leading policy experts from
universities, economics and policy think tanks and public sector
agencies across Nigeria - to develop an Agricultural Transformation
Policy Action Plan to drive the agricultural transformation agenda.
-Provide analytical support for the determination of the impacts of
agricultural policies on agricultural producers and consumers and how to
sequence policy and institutional reforms to ensure successful
implementation of the agricultural transformation action plan.
-Develop a clear policy advocacy action plan to effectively communicate
the policy directions to drive the agricultural transformation agenda.
-Build strong policy advocacy networks for the successful implementation
of agricultural policies, through creating awareness and effectively
communicating the Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA) to non-state
